TALK FOR WRITING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. GENERAL
1.1 We strongly advise you to read and fully understand these terms and conditions prior to registering for a conference. These terms and conditions apply to any conference registration made online with Talk for Writing via www.talkforwriting.co.uk.
1.2 The majority of our communication with delegates will be via written electronic communication. You must therefore supply a valid and functioning email address when requesting delegate places at Talk for Writing conferences. If you have failed to provide a valid and functioning email address, we reserve the right to reject any order or booking.

2. YOUR STATUS
2.1 By booking on a Talk for Writing conference, you warrant that:
(a) You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and requesting an invoice on behalf of an organisation
(b) you are at least 18 years old.

3. CANCELLATION
3.1 You can cancel your booking for a conference within seven working days commencing on the day after you have registered and we will issue a full refund. If the conference or event is to be held within this seven working day period, the right of cancellation will end when the conference or event begins. To cancel, email contact@talk4writing.com.
3.2 After this seven working day period your fee can only be waived or refunded if we receive a written cancellation notice by email to contact@talk4writing.com at least 28 days before the conference. You cancellation and refund will only be confirmed when you have received a return email stating that your cancellation request was received. Refunds will be made within 28 days of cancellation being received.
3.3 Where you cancel any conference booking, we reserve the right to charge you a fee of £20.00 per booking in order to cover our administration costs.
3.4 If you cancel when there are 28 days or less remaining before the conference takes place you will be required to pay the full conference delegate fee.

4. CONTRACT FORMATION
4.1 Registering for a conference via the www.talk4writing.com website is taken as an offer to purchase from Talk for Writing for delegate places at the event specified.
4.2 When you register for a Talk for Writing conference via www.talkforwriting.co.uk, that order or booking is only accepted when you receive a confirmation email from Talk for Writing that your order has been received. Until you have received a confirmation email, there is no binding contract between you and Talk for Writing.

5. PAYMENT
5.1 After you have registered for a Talk for Writing conference an invoice will be sent out to you with confirmation of your booking. You are committed to making this payment within 28 days.
5.2 Talk for Writing will supply company bank details and company information on branded letterheaded paper containing all relevant financial information, when requested. To reduce administration, Talk for Writing has a policy of not completing school New Supplier Forms.

6. TRANSFERRING BOOKINGS
6.1 Places booked may be transferred to another member of staff at the same organisation at no cost up to the day before the conference.

7. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
7.1 We cannot guarantee that it will always be possible at no extra charge to meet all dietary requirements as this depends on the catering provided by the venue. However, we will do our best to meet any dietary or special requirements that are stated at the time of booking and we will inform you via email if it is not possible to meet your needs.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
8.1 You are responsible for checking that the details of any booking that you place via www.talkforwriting.co.uk is correct prior to registering for a conference. Talk for Writing is not liable for any losses that you may incur as a result of your failure to check that the details of your order were correct at the time that you registered to attend.
8.2 Talk for Writing will not be liable for any loss which you may incur as a result of any disruption to the operation of our website which prevents you from placing any online order for a Talk for Writing conference. If there is an issue with placing a conference booking on the website you should email contact@talk4writing.com.
8.3 Talk for Writing will not be liable for any costs or expenses in connection with transport or accommodation which you incur in connection with any conference or event booking and which you are unable to recover as a result of that conference or event being cancelled or delayed due to events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

9. RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED
9.1 Talk for Writing reserves the right to refuse admission to a course at their discretion.
9.2 Talk for Writing does not allow freelance education consultants or education companies to attend Talk for Writing courses. Should a booking be received from a freelance education consultant or education company, the delegate will be notified in advance of the course and if necessary a full refund will be issued.
9.3 Talk for Writing reserves the right to remove a delegate during a course if they feel that the delegate is not behaving in a manner that is conducive to a learning environment. Removal is at the discretion of the course presenter. Reasons may include, but are not limited to; a delegate disrupting the learning of others, a delegate distracting the speaker, a delegate being continually negative about the training, a delegate being unwilling to participate properly in the training.

10. EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
10.1 In the event of circumstances beyond our control, Talk for Writing reserves the right to amend or cancel any event. We will not be liable for any failure to perform, or any delay in the performance of, our obligations under these terms and conditions where such failure is caused by events or circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control.

11. DATA PROTECTION
11.1. We will not pass your contact details to any third parties except where required to do so by law, or where otherwise reasonably required by third parties involved in staging a conference you are attending, provided that those third parties agree to keep such details confidential.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND CURRENCY
12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
12.2 All conference bookings will be charged in UK pounds.

13. OUR RIGHT TO VARY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
13.1 We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any amendment will only apply to any bookings completed after an amendment has occurred.
13.2 You will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that you order products from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority.
